Still here, still working on personal project, still job hunting, unemployment's run out i believe. I went to the Street Fighter Nucleus gallery show this last Saturday and met up with many friends and artists there. One of which i talked to about the industry and how were all in tight spots these days and to keep the faith. It's been almost 8 months since the lay off and the job posts have just started to come around but I have been sending for a long time. On some days cant help but think about the dark things but yes, keeping faith and hope in myself has become a valuable attribute lately.

Hey everyone, some more samples and some updates and touch ups on previous ones. Added an alien planet environment and command room where the main characters hangout i guess. Still working on the suit and helmet designs, those will be up this week for sure after I start sending out portfolios to companies first with this new work I have. Wish me luck.

Some more samples I was working on this week. Part of my personal project for a more serious and darker tokusatsu style franchise. Very much inspired by designs from Keita Amemiya. This one is a bit video-gamey with the "weak spots", I'm playing a bit too much RE5 and Dead Space maybe lol. But yeah, it would be a boss character for the good guys to battle. Designs for the good guys are still to come, the suits designs are very important for the project and I'm going through a lot of itterations (dare i say...variations). Environments and Suit designs are on the list though so, more to come!
Things have gotten pretty busy here. Freelance and contract work. Still looking for that full time gig. After my time is done at Technicolor I'll be on the hunt again. Hopefully more places will be open to looking for concept artist by then.
I just started my 1 month contract gig at Technicolor Interactive Wednesday. I'm excited and the project is pretty neat and am interested to see the end result. I've met some really cool people working with Scott Seeto, Yoriko, and Jeff are pretty awesome. I posted a mix of digital sketch and a traditional gouache painting from hangin out at the beach.
