Hey everyone, my first screen print is up on my store now. Done for the Guzu Gallery sci-fi art show "Blast Off!". Hell of a learning curve screen print design is but I think I've got the bug now. Right now I'm currently having a 15% off everything sale using the code NOTATNYCC2016 since I won't be at New York Comic Con this weekend.

Phase Two- Sketchbook and Staple! Independent Media Expo March 7-8 2015
Wow, it's been a while, sorry everyone! Do people still use blogspot?
Anyways, how's everyone doing? I've been cooking up plans for "Phase Two" if I can steal a term from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It'll be my second year jumping into the convention scene and I've learned so much since Wizard World Austin 2013. Boy can I write an essay about what conventions to avoid, awful disrespectful experiences, and what cons are amazing for an artist like me, not so much as comic artist. Tangent: You know not many can afford to be "pro" comic artist these days, but I'm still a "pro" concept/vis dev artist who still creates artbooks/sketchbooks and original creator-owned stuff.
Anyways, there's a story behind that, but hey look Staple! Independent Media Expo is happening March 7-8 in Austin, TX! That'll be my first show this year and I'm so excited.

I'm bringing some new goodies to Staple as well. Not only will my artbook, "Coffee and Ramen" be there but I have my first saddle-stitched sketchbook "Chinscratches: A Sketchbook Vol. 1" debuting too! They'll be available first at Staple for purchase and later at the online store.
I have some more amazing exciting announcements coming up soon before Staple. Stay tuned! Thanks team, this is going to be an amazing year!

It's been a while since I kicked off my Gofundme artbook campaign. The proof copy came in an I think it turned out great. I'm so excited! The books should be printing as we speak. Here are some preview pics. You can still get your copy pre-ordered through reward tiers on the Gofundme site. I'm only printing 100 of these, so far about 10 have been accounted for.

New Prints! Big Trouble in Little China!
Hey team! Some of you may know I love me some Big Trouble in Little China. Too many quotes to remember! Some of you guys may not know that the original script was written as an old western. I'm super excited to show two new prints with my take on it. One is a 24x18 giclee print retro movie poster. The other is the illustration itself at 19x13 digital print on thick semi-gloss paper. Both can be bought at my online store (http://kevinchinart.storenvy.com/) OR at Staple! Independent Media Expo on March 1st-2nd in Austin, Texas. Oh, don't forget to SHARE and LIKE if you do!

Austin Comic Con 2013 Recap
Hello everyone! Last week was the Wizard World Austin comic con. I was fortunate enough to get a table at Artist Alley and shared space with my concept lead Dave Greco. I can safely say that I had a blast and learned a lot. I'm very excited for next year now and am starting the broad strokes planning for what I want to do with my personal art career. Here are some pics of sketchcards and sketch commissions I had at the con. Some of them I didn't even get to take a pic of before they sold! If anyone has that Spidey sketchcard hit me up! I wish I had taken more pics, especially of fans buying my prints and sketchcards. Expect next year to be bigger and better! Take care everyone, have a great weekend!
PS: Catch me on other social media, it would mean a lot to me!
